Biographical Information

Light Eagle changed his name from "Night Eagle" a few years ago. In the Summer of 1999, he also took the name "Henahan" -- this was his paternal grandmother's maiden name, and he wanted to reclaim this connection to her lineage.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Dennis Meikle.

About 50 photos, as well as artwork by Light Eagle, were scanned at the Arcata memorial and are in the works.

I'm already swamped with projects, so if you've got a scanner and/or image-processing software (e.g., PhotoShop), your help can make a difference! There will be photographs that need to be scanned, and each picture will need to be massaged (adjusted to show well on the Web, resampled to a suitable size, saved as JPEG, and a thumbnail created).

If you want to help make this page pretty and tasteful, or otherwise help with the HTML, etc, that's welcome too! We can make this a collaborative project.
